How do I remove spots and film buildup from glasses and flatware?

Use Jet-Dry rinse agent to remove spots and prevent new film build-up. To remove stubborn existing film, run the dishwasher without detergent or metal utensils on the longest cycle, and after 18 to 22 minutes pour 2 cups of white vinegar into the bottom of the dishwasher, then allow the cycle to complete. If vinegar does not work, repeat the process using 1/4 cup of citric acid crystals instead. (Page 22)
