What type of water should I use to fill the GE Opal Ice Maker?

You should only use potable (drinking) water to fill the water reservoir up to the 'Max Fill' line. Do not use any other liquid, as this will void the warranty and can damage the unit. For improved ice quality, you can use the compatible GE Opal Water Filter.
