How do I clean the fabric softener dispenser?

Remove the dispenser from the agitator and separate the dispenser cup from the cover by grasping the top and pushing down on the inside. Soak both parts in a solution of 1 gallon warm water, 1/4 cup heavy duty liquid detergent, and 1 cup bleach. Loosen any buildup with a soft cloth (not a stiff brush), then rinse and reassemble.
