What is the proper grounding requirement for my GE refrigerator?

Your refrigerator is equipped with a three-prong grounding plug that must be inserted into a standard three-prong grounded wall outlet to minimize the possibility of electric shock. Do not cut or remove the third (ground) prong from the power cord under any circumstances. If only a two-prong outlet is available, have it replaced with a properly grounded three-prong outlet by a qualified electrician. (Page 3)
