What maintenance is required for my GE refrigerator's ice and water dispenser system?

The water and ice dispenser spill shelf should be wiped dry immediately to prevent spotting. The condenser behind the base grille should be cleaned at least once a year by removing the base grille and vacuuming or sweeping away dust. Inside the fresh food and freezer compartments should be cleaned at least once a year using warm water and baking soda solution. The drain opening in the freezer compartment should be flushed with a baking soda solution using a meat baster to help eliminate odors and prevent clogs. (Pages 13-14)
