To clean the inside, remove the water filter and filter base, ensure the filter basket is empty, place an empty carafe on the keep-hot plate, and pour one pint of plain white vinegar into the water reservoir. Press the I/O button once, turn off after 30 seconds, and wait 30 minutes for the vinegar to clean. Then turn the unit on again and run it through a complete brew cycle. After cooling, repeat the process with cold tap water twice to rinse thoroughly.
