Remove the water filter and filter base, ensure the filter basket is empty, place the empty carafe on the keep-hot plate, and pour one pint of plain white vinegar into the water reservoir. Turn the unit on, then off after 30 seconds, and let the vinegar sit for 30 minutes before completing the brew cycle. After the vinegar cycle, run two full carafes of cold tap water through the machine, then wash the carafe and filter basket before making coffee.
