Can the Handicare 1100 be used during a fire or power outage?

The stairlift must not be used in the event of a fire or as a means of escape during a fire. In the case of a power outage in the building, switch the power off on the lift to avoid battery drainage. If the stairlift is not fitted with a communication device, it is recommended to always have one to hand.
