Can I use a dimmer switch to control the fan speed?
No, do NOT use a full range dimmer switch to control fan speed as this will cause a loud humming noise from the fan and creates a risk of fire or electrical shock. Use only the fan's pull chain speed control or an approved speed control device instead.
