Can I use a full range dimmer switch to control the fan speed?
No, you must NOT use a full range dimmer switch to control fan speed as it will cause a loud humming noise and poses a risk of fire or electrical shock. Instead, use an approved speed control device or control the fan using the pull chain speed selector.
