How do I use the reverse switch to optimize seasonal performance?

In warmer weather, set the reverse switch in the DOWN position for downward airflow to create a wind chill effect. In cooler weather, set it in the UP position for upward airflow to move hot air off the ceiling. The switch must be set completely UP or DOWN for the fan to operate; setting it in the middle position will prevent operation.
