How do I replace the batteries in my Honeywell 6000 thermostat?

Press down on the battery holder and pull it out to remove the old batteries. Insert fresh AA alkaline batteries and reinstall the battery holder. Install fresh batteries immediately when the REPLACE BATTERY warning begins flashing, which occurs about two months before batteries are depleted. If batteries are installed within two minutes, the time and day will not need to be reset.
