Is it safe to run the cooling system in cold weather?
No — the manual includes a caution warning not to operate the cooling system when outdoor temperature is below 50°F (10°C). Running the cooling system in cold conditions can cause possible compressor damage. Always check outdoor temperatures before switching the system to Cool mode. (Page 3)
