Why isn't my heating or cooling system responding?

Check that the system mode is set correctly (Heat or Cool), desired temperature is set appropriately (higher than room temperature for heat, lower for cool), circuit breaker is on, the heating/cooling power switch is on, and the furnace door is closed securely. Wait 5 minutes for the system to respond.
