Why did my air purifier suddenly switch to a higher fan speed on its own?

The air purifier may be set to VOC Mode or Auto-Set mode via the app, which causes it to automatically increase the cleaning level when it detects higher levels of VOCs or airborne particles. If the unit is in one of these modes, this behavior is expected and not a malfunction. (Page 8)
