What should I do if my heating or cooling system does not respond to the thermostat?

First, press Menu and then Mode to set the system to the correct mode (Heat or Cool), and ensure the set temperature is higher than the inside temperature for heat or lower for cool. Also check the circuit breaker and reset if necessary, make sure the heater switch is on and the furnace door is closed tightly, then wait five minutes for the system to react. (Page 2)
