How does the Auto Changeover feature work?

Auto Changeover is a feature for climates where both air conditioning and heating are used on the same day. When set to Auto, the thermostat automatically changes between heating and cooling operation depending on indoor temperature. The thermostat automatically maintains a three-degree deadband (gap) between the cool and heat temperature settings, which is not adjustable. This feature only appears if the thermostat is set up for Auto Changeover by your heating and air conditioning dealer. (Pages 15-18)
