Why is my display completely blank?

A blank display can be caused by several issues: check the circuit breaker and reset if necessary, make sure the power switch at the heating and cooling system is on, and ensure the furnace door is closed securely. If the thermostat is battery powered, make sure fresh AA alkaline batteries are correctly installed. (Page 18)
