What is Adaptive Intelligent Recovery and how does it work?

Adaptive Intelligent Recovery is a feature that allows the thermostat to 'learn' how long your furnace or air conditioner takes to reach your desired temperature. You simply set your program schedule to the time you want the house to reach a certain temperature, and the thermostat automatically turns on the system early enough to meet that goal. When this feature is active, the display will show 'In Recovery.' (Page 16)
