What does the 'Wait' message on the display mean?

The 'Wait' message is displayed when the compressor protection (minimum off timer) is active, preventing the compressor from restarting too early after a shutdown. This built-in compressor protection feature is adjustable via ISU 387 and can be set from Off to 1–5 minutes. If there is a call for cooling or heating during this timer, the thermostat will show 'Wait' until the timer expires. (Page 13)
