How do I enable HP Wireless Direct to print without a router?

From the Home screen on the printer display, select Wireless Direct. If it shows Wireless Direct is off, select it and then choose On (No Security) or On (With Security). You can then connect your wireless device to the printer's wireless direct name, such as HP-Print-XX-ENVY 4500 series.
