What should I do if the HP Envy 4500 software installation fails on Windows?

Remove the CD from the drive and disconnect the USB cable from the computer, then restart the computer. Insert the printer software CD again, follow the on-screen instructions to install the software, and do not connect the USB cable until you are prompted to do so.
