How do I clean the scanner glass plate and white plastic backing?

Turn off the product using the power switch and unplug the power cord from the outlet, then open the scanner cover. Use a soft cloth or sponge with a non-abrasive glass cleaner to clean both the scanner glass plate and white plastic backing, then dry them with a soft cloth or fiber sponge to avoid streaks. Never apply liquid directly to the glass or backing plate, as it may seep in and damage the product. (Page 14)
