What cleaning chemicals should I avoid using on the scanner glass?

Do not use abrasives, acetone, benzene, ammonia, ethyl alcohol, or carbon tetrachloride on any part of the product as they can damage it. Also, never pour liquid directly onto the glass or platen, as liquid can seep inside and damage the product. (Page 14)
