Yes, you can use Wi-Fi Direct to print wirelessly without a router from your smartphone or other wireless-enabled device. From the Home screen on the printer display, touch Wi-Fi Direct, and if Status is Off, go to Wi-Fi Direct Settings and turn it on. For devices that do not support Wi-Fi Direct, connect to the printer's Wi-Fi Direct network from your device's wireless settings and enter the WPA2 password found on the printer display.
