How do I set up HP Wireless Direct to print without a router?

From the printer's control panel, touch the Wireless icon, then touch Settings, then touch Wireless Direct and select either On (No Security) or On (With Security). To connect, turn on the Wi-Fi radio on your device, search for the Wireless Direct name (for example: HP-Print-xx-Photosmart 6520), and then print as you normally would. HP recommends turning on security for Wireless Direct so only users with the password can print wirelessly to the printer. (Page 4)
