How do I use HP Wireless Direct to print without a router?

From the printer's control panel, touch the Wireless icon, then touch Settings, then touch Wireless Direct and select On (No Security) or On (With Security). From your Wi-Fi device, search for and connect to the Wireless Direct name (for example: HP-Print-xx-Photosmart 6520), then print as you normally would. Note that Wireless Direct supports up to five clients at a time and does not allow internet access through the connection. (Page 4)
