What should I do if my printer software installation failed?

Remove the CD and disconnect the printer, then restart your computer. Temporarily disable any software firewall and close any anti-virus software. Insert the printer software CD and follow the onscreen instructions, but do not connect the USB cable until instructed. After installation finishes, restart the computer and re-enable any security software you disabled. (Page 4)
