How do I safely remove the battery from the HP ProBook 440 G3?

First shut down the computer, disconnect all external devices, and unplug the AC adapter. Then position the computer upside down on a flat surface, slide the battery release latches to release the battery, and remove the battery from the computer. Note that you can slide the battery release latches simultaneously or one at a time, and each latch will automatically return to its original position. (Page 33)
