How do I update the BIOS before adding new memory modules?
Navigate to www.hp.com, click Support & Drivers > Drivers & Software, enter your computer model information and search, select your operating system, click the BIOS link under Step 2, download the most recent BIOS, and follow the on-screen instructions. Updating BIOS before installing new memory is critical to prevent system problems.
