What types of documents should NOT be loaded into the ADF?

The following document types should not be loaded into the ADF as they may cause paper jams or damage: wrinkled, creased, curled, or torn documents, documents with paper clips or staples, carbon paper, coated paper, extremely thin or translucent paper, paper with adhesive notes or flags, photos, overhead transparencies, and pages with wet substances such as glue or correction fluid. For fragile documents such as photos, place the document face down on the flatbed scanner glass instead. (Page 11)
