What precautions should I take when installing the printheads?

Do not touch the electric contacts or print nozzles located under the tape on the printheads. Before installing printheads, ensure the printer is on, all four ink tanks are filled, and you have closed the front door for approximately 15 seconds after filling ink. Also, keep the orange guard upright and handle it carefully to avoid ink leaks. (Page 4)
