What should I do about lint buildup in the exhaust vent?

Lint should be removed every 2 years or more often depending on dryer usage by a qualified person. To remove accumulated lint, disconnect the exhaust vent from the dryer and clean one section at a time until reaching the exhaust hood, using a vacuum hose attachment or a pole with a feather duster or rag attached. Then reconnect the vent as described in the installation instructions. (Page 41)
