What are the important rules for using the steam cycle on this dryer?

The steam feeder must be filled with water up to the MAX line, and only plain water should be used — do not add any additives or other materials as these will damage the dryer. Do not use distilled water because the water level sensor in the steam generator will not work properly. If the lint filter or exhaust duct is clogged, steam options will not give proper results, and before moving the dryer, make sure the steam feeder is empty. (Page 18)
