What is the proper electrical connection for my dryer if I have a 4-wire receptacle?

For a 4-wire receptacle (NEMA type 14-30R), connect the neutral wire (white) of the power cord to the center terminal block screw, connect the red and black wires to the left and right terminal block screws, and connect the ground wire (green) to the external ground screw. Make sure the strain relief screw is tightened and all terminal block nuts are tight.
