How do I safely clean the needles on my Keurig K-Supreme Plus?

To clean the exit needle, remove the pod holder assembly, detach the funnel, and insert a straightened paper clip into the exit needle to loosen any coffee grounds. To clean the entrance needles, lift the handle and carefully insert a straightened paper clip into all the holes on the underside of the lid, then lower the handle and run two cleansing brews without a K-Cup pod. Use caution, as the manual warns that sharp needles are present and you should not put your fingers in the K-Cup pod holder. (Page 9-10)
