What should I do before my first brew with the Keurig K-Supreme Plus?

Before your first brew, remove the packing tape from the brewer and plug it into a grounded outlet. Place a large mug (10oz minimum) on the drip tray, then remove the water reservoir lid, rinse it with fresh water, and fill it to the MAX FILL line. Do not use distilled water. Finally, lift and lower the handle without a K-Cup pod to power on the brewer, press the 8oz button, then press the blinking brew button to start a cleansing brew and pour the hot water into the sink.
