What should I do if my dishwasher won't drain properly?

Check for a clogged, kinked or frozen water drain hose. Clean the air gap or in-sink disposal if they are clogged. Remove the lower rack, turn the inner filter counter-clockwise to access the filter assembly, and clean the filters with a soft brush under running water. The drain hose must not get kinked, pinched, stressed or crushed behind or under the dishwasher or inside a neighboring cabinet during installation.
