What does the Maytag dishwasher warranty cover and for how long?

The dishwasher comes with a Ten Year Limited Warranty: during the first year, Maytag covers both parts and labor for defects in materials or workmanship. From the second through tenth years, only certain parts are covered — specifically the upper and lower racks (excluding cup shelves and silverware basket), the chopper blade, and the stainless steel tub and inner door liner — with no labor included. Damage from accidents, misuse, freezing, or use inconsistent with published instructions is not covered. (Page 15)
