What is the difference between Timed Dry and Sensor Cycles on my Maytag dryer?

Timed Dry runs the dryer for a specified amount of time that you set on the control, regardless of moisture level. Sensor Cycles detect moisture in the load and air temperature, automatically shutting off when the load reaches the selected dryness level, providing the best drying in the shortest time. Drying time with Sensor Cycles will vary based on fabric type, load size, and dryness setting. (Page 5)
