What should I do if clothes are not drying satisfactorily or drying times are too long?

Check if the lint screen is clogged and clean it before each load. Verify the load is not too large and heavy - separate it so clothes tumble freely. Run the dryer for 5-10 minutes and hold your hand under the outside exhaust hood to check air movement. If no air movement is felt, clean the exhaust system of lint or replace the vent with heavy metal or flexible metal vent material. Also check that the exhaust vent is 4 inches in diameter and uses the shortest possible length.
