How often should I clean the lint screen on my Maytag dryer?

You should clean the lint screen before every load. Pull the lint screen out of its holder, roll lint off with your fingers, and push it firmly back into place — do not rinse or wash the screen to remove lint. A screen blocked by lint can increase drying time and cause overheating.
