Why is my dryer taking too long to dry clothes?

Long drying times are often caused by a clogged lint screen or housing, a blocked exhaust vent, or improper vent material. Check that the exhaust vent is not crushed or kinked, use 102 mm (4") diameter heavy metal vent material, and ensure the vent is not too long or has too many turns. The room temperature must also be above 7°C (45°F) for proper operation.
