What is the proper procedure for cutting with the Spectrum 375 torch?

First, connect the work clamp to a clean, paint-free location on the workpiece as close to the cutting area as possible. Raise the trigger lock and press the trigger to start the pilot arc. Slowly start moving the torch across the metal at a 90° angle to the workpiece surface. Adjust torch speed so sparks go through the metal and out the bottom. Pause briefly at the end of cut before releasing the trigger. For standard (shielded) cutting, place the drag shield on the edge of metal; for extended (non-shielded) cutting, use a 1/16 inch standoff distance. (Page 22)
