To clean a CD, wipe the disc with a soft cloth outward from the center — never in a circular motion. Do not write on or apply chemicals to the disc surface, and avoid using damaged, cracked, chipped, or warped discs, DualDiscs, 8-cm discs, or CD-R/RW discs that have not been finalized. If condensation affects performance, let the unit rest for about one hour to adjust to a warmer temperature and wipe damp discs with a soft cloth. (Page 44-45)
