How do I prepare my refrigerator if I'm going on a long vacation?

If you will be away for less than three weeks, there is no need to unplug the refrigerator. However, if you will be away for more than three weeks, remove all food and the ice in the ice bucket, unplug the refrigerator, close the water valve, wipe excess moisture from the inside walls, and leave the doors open to prevent odors and mold. Failing to leave the doors open may result in odor and mold developing inside the refrigerator. (Page 6 and 27)
