What happens if I enter the wrong security code multiple times?

After 3 consecutive incorrect code entries, the safe enters 'Basic Lockout' mode and the touchpad is deactivated for 30 seconds. After 6 consecutive failed attempts, the safe enters 'Severe Lockout' mode and the touchpad is deactivated for 5 minutes. You must leave the batteries in during the lockout cycle — if batteries are removed, the timer resets to zero. (Pages 8–9)
