Start by removing your existing deadbolt completely. Then adjust the bolt length so the slot is centered in the hole with "TOP" facing up, install the strike plate into the door frame, route the cable through the door below the bolt, and secure the backplate with screws ensuring the outside touchscreen is straight. Finally, align the tailpiece bump with the slot in the back of the inside assembly and ensure the thumbturn is vertical. (Page 1)
