How do I perform reverse sewing and cut threads on my Singer Model 1120?

To secure the beginning and end of a seam, press down the reverse sewing lever (A) and sew a few reverse stitches, then release the lever to continue sewing forwards. To cut threads, pull the threads behind the presser foot, guide them to the side of the face plate and into the thread cutter (B), and pull the threads down to cut them.
