How do I properly maintain and clean my Singer Model 1120?

Always unplug the machine before cleaning. Remove the needle plate and clean out any lint or dust accumulation in the bobbin area with a brush. Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, dry cloth and do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. The machine is designed to require minimal lubrication; over-oiling can attract dust and lint.
